Israel Votes in Tight Netanyahu–Eisenkot Race

Israelis went to the polls on 27 October in an election widely described as too close to call, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu facing his main rival, Gadi Eisenkot.

Analysts cited by Euronews say that whatever the result, Netanyahu could remain in power for months while coalition talks and any legal or political manoeuvring play out.

Official results are expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
